It could be argued that Marc Maron's specialty on WTF is conducting humorous but also introspective interviews with comedians. He has interviewed countless people from many fields, but a large overarching theme of the podcast is providing a peek into the psyche of a comedian.

Todd Glass's 2012 episode of Maron's show was a prime example of this, when he used the show as a platform to publicly come out as gay. He spoke about how he had previously been reluctant to come out to the public, but a string of recent LGBTQ+ youth suicides prompted him to go on the podcast and do it.

Glass's appearance is an inspiring and heartfelt account of his experience as a closeted gay man, as well as his concern for LGBTQ+ youth and society's attitude towards them. It's clear that it is a big and emotional moment for Glass and Maron provides an empathetic and comfortable space for him to speak about it.
