"I'm your number one fan. There's nothing to worry about. You're going to be just fine. I will take good care of you. I'm your number one fan." Annie Wilkes really loves Paul Sheldon and his books about Misery Chastain. You might even say shes obsessed with them. So you can imagine her surprise and delight when she happens upon a car wreck during a blizzard near her home in Colorados Western Slope and finds that the badly injured driver is none other than Paul Sheldon himself. Rescuing him from certain death, Annie spirits Paul off to her remote home and tends to his every need, nursing him back to health. As Paul begins to gain strength, he soon comes to the shocking realization that Annie is not only his number one fan, shes also certifiably insane. Discovering her back story, Paul learns that Annie was at one time a nurse who was tried and acquitted in the deaths of 11 infants in her care and suddenly realizes that he is in great danger. After Annie reads his latest Misery manuscript and discovers that Paul has killed off her beloved character, she becomes completely unhinged and makes him bring Misery back from the dead. As time goes on Paul realizes his only hope is to play along and try to escape when Annie occasionally leaves the house. Unfortunately for him, Annie discovers this plot and..incapacitates Paul in one of the most gruesome and painful ways possible.
A self professed Stephen King/Star Wars geek and pop culture neophyte, Scott tends to spend much of his time alone pondering life's greatest mysteries.....he also depends heavily on his son Liam, a great sounding board, to set him straight on Star Wars issues and gives him advice on what EXACTLY he's doing wrong.
