You trawl through forums, tattoo review sights, and tattoo parlour testimony pages. They all seem fine. Well, there are a few that are not so fine ("full of rats, blood all over floor, screams coming from the back") but you're bright and you know to avoid those. You pick your top three and book some consultations.
