10 Emotional Stages Of Shopping In Primark

9. What Is This Unfamiliar Sense Of Awe?

You've walked about two meters further in from the door and you've been swallowed up by a gang of pushchair-pushing mothers who have at least four full baskets of clothes between them. Further ahead you can see masses of teenagers swanning about wooden tables piled sky-high with t-shirts and cardigans and leggings and jeans in a whole manner of shades and materials and patterns. You stand to the side of the main aisle to take a breather, even though you've only been in the vicinity for about 30 seconds. You find yourself drawn to a selection of flowery skater dresses. There are at least 50 different flowery patterns to choose from. And some of them have birds on, as well as flowers. There are so many colours in front of you right now. What even are the shades on that dress right there? You swear you've never seen anything like it. Is it blue and black? Or is it white and gold? You decide to pursue your Primark Quest a little further.
