10 Exciting Things Coming To Walt Disney World

6. New Dining & Shops

Disney

Formally known as Downtown Disney, Disney Springs continues to grow and expand.

In late February, Disney announced that Disney Springs will soon be the home of 30 new shops and restaurants.

There will be some big name shops coming to Disney's entertainment district, including Coca Cola, Sephora, Lacoste and Oakley, as well as some more delicious food to enjoy. D-Luxe Burger, Homecoming -- Florida Kitchen and Shine Bar and a Sprinkles Cupcake ATM will soon be feeding hungry resort guests. These new outlets will open in phases throughout 2016, with the first set to open in May.

As well as new dining options, other restaurants are also scheduled for a face lift.

Planet Hollywood closed in January and is currently under going a transformative make over. When the restaurant reopens it will become an observatory along with an outdoor bar named Stargazers, a much more fitting theme to go with the new persona of Disney Springs. The restaurant will also feature a 4,000 sq. ft. video wall, a DJ, as well as live entertainment.

Another restaurant set for a remodel is Fulton's Crab House. Closing in April, this riverboat restaurant is getting a spruce up and will now have live music and an oyster bar.

Disney Springs is fast becoming the place to be when you need time away from the parks.
