10 Extinct Disney World Attractions You Need To Know About
9. Maelstrom
A fan favourite, Maelstrom closed its doors for the last time in October 2014.
Located in the Norway Pavilion at Epcot, Maelstrom was a short boat ride through the nature and history of the country. The ride used both animatronics and screens to bring the story of Norway's waterways to life.
Despite existing as a quaint cultural boat ride through Norway, the ride proved to have a cult following and was a must do attraction in Epcot. Many took to the internet to express their anger when Disney announced it would be replacing the ride with Frozen Ever After.
Due to open this summer, Frozen Ever After will continue to be a boat ride, but will instead be set in the fictional place of Arendelle, home of Anna and Elsa.
