This hidden gem may not quite be on the mainland of Mallorca but it is only just off the west coast of the island. Sa Dragonera is an uninhabited islet nature reserve that is full of beauty and relatively easy to reach. It is only 3200 metres in length and has a maximum width of 500 metres. The islet gets its name from its dragon shape as it looks like a sleeping dragon laying in the water. The islet also has a rich history of smugglers and pirates which makes it an exciting place to visit with this in mind.
