Professional poker player Phil Ivey is known as being one of the best card players in the world, but he's recently been making headlines after a dispute with several UK casinos. Most notably, Ivey was refused £7.3 million in winnings playing Punto Banco at a London casino, due to Ivey's alleged use of card sorting. Ivey and an accomplice would reportedly persuade the croupier to turn certain cards in the dealing shoe, under the pretense of superstition. Due to defects in the cards, it's allegedly possible for keen-eyed players to know what certain cards will be before they're actually turned. Before this case that was lost at court, Ivey had reportedly had great success with the method.
