10 Most Anticipated Tech Releases Still To Come In 2015

7. Google Nexus 5 (2015)

Google phones, like Android itself, used to be a bit of an ugly duckling in the smartphone world. But those days are no more, with every iteration of Google's phone since the Nexus 4 being a brilliantly designed, powerful device with a inscrutably low price tag. With two Nexus phones expected to come out this year - a 5.2-inch LG model, and a 5.7-inch Huawei phablet - I'm particularly excited about the former. The reason for this is that it looks set to be a spiritual successor to 2013's Nexus 5, which remains one of the best-value phones you can buy. The Nexus 5 (2015) is expected to come with a full HD display, octa-core Snapdragon 620 chipset with up to 4 GB RAM, and a 13 MP rear camera that features LG's super-fast Laser Autofocus technology. While Samsung and Apple are set to bring a couple more pricey powerhouse devices out this year, the Nexus 5 (2015) will be the phone for the frugal, discerning smartphone buyer. It's expected to have a price tag of no more than £300 or $400. Nexus owners also get the perk of being first in line to receive Android OS updates, and the Nexus 5 (2015) will come with the as-yet-unreleased Android M out of the box.
