10 Most Anticipated Tech Releases Still To Come In 2015

6. SpaceVR

I've always wanted to check out space, but the main thing that's always prevented me from doing it (apart from an unlucrative career in journalism) are the grim side-effects of going out there; the nausea, the bone degeneration, the likelihood of a storm of space debris shredding up your craft. Thankfully, SpaceVR aims to offer all the fun of space without the nasty stuff. It's currently raising money for an astronaut to take a super high-definition, VR-compatible camera to the International Space Station, assemble it, then launch it into orbit by the end of 2015. The footage will then be accessible online for subscribers to enjoy and, best of all, it'll be compatible with upcoming VR headsets like the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. If all goes well, then the project will expand its horizons. SpaceVR aims to have a VR camera on the moon by 2017, on an asteroid by 2022, and on Mars as soon as 2026. But one small step at a time, mankind. If you're interested in seeing this happen, then you can chip in to SpaceVR's Kickstarter campaign.
