The ocean is a horrifying and endless thing, so it totally makes sense that there would be ghosts swimming around in there. And if there're ghosts in the ocean, it means that ghosts on old luxury ocean liners should be a very common thing, which is definitely the case for the world-famous Queen Mary.

Now docked in Long Beach, California and run as a hotel, the staterooms and halls of the Queen Mary are legendary for housing ghosts and spirits. Among the hauntings reported on board are the ghosts of two women who died in the first class swimming pool in the 1930s and 1960s, as well as the spine-tingling sound of non-existent children giggling near a storage room. Thanks to these stories it's no wonder that the Queen Mary is often considered one of the most haunted hotels in the world. But that's not all...

Used during WWII to transfer 800,000 soldiers and P.O.W.s, the ship has seen its fair share of death over its history, which could be why even the current captain of the ship has said he believes it's haunted. Also notable is the fact that the current staff of the hotel believe in the ghosts that roam the halls, as they refuse to go into the famously haunted Cabin B340 unless they're in groups. With the room now closed off to visitors and stripped of its furnishings, it seems that there may be more than legend to the story of the hauntings of the Queen Mary.
