The Grand Hyatt Hotel in Taiwan isn't the first place you'd think to see ghosts. It is, after all, a relatively new five-star Hyatt hotel attached to a business center. And yet the ghosts that have been spotted at the Grand Hyatt don't seem to be there for the free WiFi. Instead it appears that they're leftovers from the hotel's placement on the grounds of a former WWII outpost.

Reviews of the hotel on TripAdvisor have been known to point to the hotel's haunted past, with many guests saying that they had to check out before their intended stay was over due to paranormal activity. Footsteps in the night, unexplained headaches, and snores coming from the bed of lone guests have been reported, and even hotel staff has acknowledged the unhappy spirits of the ghostly guests in the past.

Even more strange, however, is how the Hyatt has dealt with reports of the hotel's haunted nature. Unlike most hotels that are proud of their haunted history, the Hyatt seems to sweep everything under the rug while denying the location's connection to WWII execution camps. This however runs counter to the Feng Shui experts that were called in to help design the hotel when it was built, not to mention the wind chimes and giant Asian talismans in the lobby and throughout the hotel that are meant to keep away unhappy spirits.
