Think your phones cool now? Say hello to the miracle material that is going to change our future. Graphene is the thinnest material known to mankind, composed of a sheet of pure carbon atoms. Not only that, but it's 200 times stronger than steel, more conductive than copper, and 100 times more efficient than solar power. That combo of qualities alone paves the way for endless possibilities: 70% lighter aircrafts, faster internet, longer-lasting batteries... and the ability to bend our smartphones. Graphene was discovered in 2004 by mucking about in a lab according to Mark Miodownik of Kings College London, and we've come a long way from then. Once we figure out how to mass produce Graphene, the miracle material is sure to play a prominent part in future life, perhaps creating an entire generation of "foldable" electronics. Crazy.
