10 Popular Universal Studios Florida Attractions That No Longer Exist

6. The Funtastic World Of Hanna-Barbera

The first ever motion simulator ride at a Universal Park, The Fantastic World of Hanna-Barbera was an opening day attraction in Florida.

The attraction was located in the building which is currently the home of Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem.

Guests would head on a journey with Yogi Bear to catch Dick Dastardly and Mutely who had kidnapped Elroy from the Jetsons.

The ride involved sitting in a rocket ship captained by the picnic basket stealing bear. The ship would then be catapulted into the cartoon world of the Flintstones, Scooby Doo and finally into the home of the Jetsons.

For those too short to ride the attraction there were static seats... handy for small children who were fans of he Hanna Barera but that did not meet the 40 inch height requirement.

The Funtastic World of Hanna Barbera shut in 2002 to make way for Jimmy Neutron's Nicktoon Blast, which in turn was taken over by Minions in 2011.
