10 Problems Only People From Pittsburgh Would Understand

4. The Iron City Obligation

Iron City Beer is a great source of pride and a staple of the recommended Pittsburgh diet. The Iron City Brewing Company began production in Pittsburgh in 1861. Over the decades, Iron City has come to be as integral to the Pittsburgh lifestyle as Andy Warhol art and anything black and gold. The problem with this is that Iron City isn't a particularly fantastic beer. It's not bad. It's... good. When one is sitting at a "dahntahn" sports bar, wearing a Steelers jersey and watching the game, drinking a pint of Blue Moon with an orange slice would certainly be looked at with a certain disdain. When you just want to go out and enjoy some drinks, the last thing you want is beverage guilt. Whether or not its always strictly adhered to, dedicated Pittsburghers who are out on the town will always feel a certain amount of Iron City obligation.
