10 Problems Only People Who Love Their Alone Time Will Understand

5. Going Out For Dinner Makes It Look Like You've Been Stood Up

While going out to dinner alone proves a cheap and time-efficient way to eat, sitting opposite an empty seat seems to be more appropriate in a cafe during an afternoon than it does a restaurant at night. Obviously it looks like you've been stood up. Waitresses have even asked you before if your special someone has been waylaid: "Are you waiting for someone? Should I come back to take your order when they arrive?" Telling them no, it's just you, always seems like a weak excuse, even though you just wanted to eat out in peace in an environment different to your own home. Sometimes it even looks like you came in to hit on the staff, even though you put yourself in a secluded corner in order to not look too conspicuous.

I love Stephen King and music festivals; I eat my toast upside down; I daydream about getting married probably a bit too much; and I wish every day for a pet sausage dog puppy (who never materialises – sob).
