1. Trying To Explain These Problems To People Who Don't Own Dogs
"So...you can't come out tonight because of your...dog?...Really?" Explaining to a person who has never owned a dog that your entire life revolves around your pet can cause some serious bewilderment. Looking after dogs is similar to having children, they need an awful lot of attention, care, and cost a fortune, while dogs with 'issues' can be even more of a handful. But, as every dog owner knows, they are worth all the time, effort and stress. But for someone who just doesn't get dogs, they'll likely find it inconceivable that your life can be so totally taken over by a barking money-pit.
