10 Real-Life Curses That (Supposedly) Killed People

6. The Basano Vase

The silver Basano Vase dates back to the 15th century, and was allegedly created as a bridal gift. Unfortunately, the bride was killed on her own wedding night, leading to rumours that the vase was cursed by its deceased owner. The vase was passed down through the woman's family over the centuries, reportedly causing death and calamity for almost all of its owners. Eventually, someone in the family began to see the pattern of freakish deaths, and locked the vase away. The Basano Vase was found again in 1988 with a single note stating, "Beware... this vase brings death". Unperturbed, the new owner sold it at auction, and died only a few months later. After the deaths of three more vase owners over the course of just a decade, it was buried for good in an undisclosed location.
