9. They Will Be Interested In Everything You Have To Say
Inspiration doesn't have to come from new experiences and, more often than not, a writer will get an idea from a story someone else told them. And you could be that person! What you bring to the conversation is your whole life story, or as much of it as you want to share, and an entirely original perspective on the world, and a writer will find that invaluable and fascinating. Writers generally act as observers, and ideas can be sparked by anything from a fly buzzing around a room to an overheard conversation in a coffee shop (if you've ever wondered why people write in public, just go and listen to some of the weird and wonderful conversations you can overhear in a coffee shop), but in you they have someone to tell entire stories and answer questions without them seeming odd for listening. And they really will listen. You don't need to worry that after the first date they'll be drafting your biography, but don't be too surprised if sooner or later you notice them writing something that seems oddly familiar. And this will happen even if you don't feel your stories are very interesting, because...
