7. Less Live Socializing

You know what€™s annoying, trying to talk to someone who is also conversing with someone through text messaging or social media on their phone. Clearly the focus isn€™t on you; otherwise you€™d have their full attention. Instant messaging and social media has given everyone a polite way of ignoring people they don€™t want to talk to in person. The next time someone does this to you, insult them lightly and when you realize they aren€™t paying attention at all, see how far you can go. Studies show 80% of what we say is through our body language. If everyone keeps using instant messaging and technology to do the majority of communicating, we may all lose the ability to confidently communicate in person with another human being.
