10 Secret Alien Bases Around The World

5. Newfoundland Condemned Iron Mine

Canada probably enjoys all the attention their neighbours to the south get. It means that nobody's paying attention to their own secret alien bases. A long-held belief amongst some UFOlogists is that the Great White North has itself a whole series of these clandestine complexes. Mostly hidden beneath the tundra, positively subterranean. It's said that there are entrances to be found at Lake Ontario, off Parliament Street in downtown Toronto, and an abandoned iron mine in Newfoundland. Admittedly, police do try and dissuade people from sneaking down the latter, but that could be because it's a condemned mine and they don't want people dying during a cave-in. Or, alternatively, they're trying to throw enterprising individuals off the sent of an underground city that seems to occupy a good amount of Canada's underbelly, with indigenous people having superstitions about all the possible entrances, UFO sightings all over and strange electro-magnetic fields. Aliens for sure, eh.
