When you arrive at Volcano Bay, team members provide you with a Tapu Tapu wristband. This handy device allows you to save your place in line, so no waiting on hot steps. It also becomes the key to any locker you might rent and you can attach a credit card to it. This means you can make purchases without haveing to go get your wallet.
Another fun thing about the wristbands is the TapTu Play features. Anywhere that you can see the lit up Volcano Bay symbol you can interact with the park. Usually there's a watery surprise for either yourself or an unsuspecting passerby.
Some of my favourite TapTu Play moments are the ones within the Volcano. One will light up the Volcano wall with the mythical Kunuku fish, another allows you to control sprayers which rain down water into the pool below.
On Waturi Beach keep an eye out for the huge conch shell. If you this TapTu Play point will spray water out, sometimes it's in the air, sometimes at you! There are loads of places to interact such as along the lazy river and in the kids play area.
Make sure you give any TapTu Play points a try, you never know what exactly will happen.
