3. The Darker The Slide, The More Thrilling
When I spent the day in the park I was told to pay attention to the colours of the slides as they often reveal which are the more thrilling to ride.
Although not always the case, usually if the slides are darker in colour they tend to be the more fierce to ride. This is certainly the case at Taniwha Tubes. The lighter colour slides on the left are more relaxed and gentle, whilst the right sided darker slides are more ferocious.
The theme follows through to the Ohyah and Ohno drop slides, where the darker coloured purple slide has the scarier 6 foot drop into the pool below.
As for the Punga Racers, I was told by a team member that the outside slides are the wilder of the four. The team member also informed me that the yellow slide in particular was the most fearsome thanks to a recent update.
