10 Social Situations Where Everyone Just Ends Up Embarrassing Themselves

3. Posing For Photos

That awkward moment when you are asked to to be featured in an impromptu photograph: "But wait... I haven't fixed my face/hair/clothes/whatever!"

Then there's the vital decision - what pose to go for? Nonchalant? Enthusiastic? Duck face, even? The seconds it takes for the photographer to get that snap of you can feel like they last a life time as you try your very best to set your facial muscles to photogenic beauty. Somehow, though, you've lost all muscular control and can't seem to hold a smile without twitching uncontrollably. Embarrassment for both yourself and the photographer can heighten if you were unhappy with your original pose - retaking the photograph and extending this awkward exchange is sometimes a necessary evil so that an awful "derpy" picture of you doesn't end up on the internet forever.
