10 Terrible Role Models In Stephen King Books

1. Margaret White In Carrie

Biggest Crime Committed: Didn't tell her daughter about periods. If Carrie's crazy religious mother had taken the time to tell her introverted daughter about the birds and the bees, maybe none of the disaster that followed would have even happened. Mothers who decline to sit down with their children and explain a bit about their bodily functions (cringe though it may be) deserve no more than a telekinetic maniac child for whom life has given nothing but misery. Margaret White is in no way a good icon for motherhood, and does nothing to appease her mentally unstable daughter. She's one of King's worst parents, with readers filled with a pure hate for the woman right from the start of the novel.

I love Stephen King and music festivals; I eat my toast upside down; I daydream about getting married probably a bit too much; and I wish every day for a pet sausage dog puppy (who never materialises – sob).
