Biggest Crime Committed: Being vague and useless with important information. A half-likeable character at most, Elizabeth Eastlake's main role in Duma Key is to antagonize the already stressed out newly-found-artist Edgar and cryptically try and fail to provide him and his hombre Wireman with information to try and stop the evil forces at work on Duma. Having had the exact same experiences in her childhood as Edgar is experiencing, Elizabeth could quite easily have taken the one-armed hero aside and just mentioned to him what to do to stop the evil Perse in order to retain a harmonious atmosphere. Forget respecting your elders, this old lady does nothing to help the situation and is only good for playing with her china dolls and irritating the hell out of all the readers who want to know just what the hell is going on.
I love Stephen King and music festivals; I eat my toast upside down; I daydream about getting married probably a bit too much; and I wish every day for a pet sausage dog puppy (who never materialises – sob).
