Some people are prone to panic attacks when they're anxious; Maya Herrera though, a character introduced in Heroes' second season, emitted a deadly black poison from her eyes whenever she felt stressed. Whenever Maya cried these black tears, she would force everyone else in a short radius to do the same, before her victims collapsed and died. She killed everyone at her twin brother Alejandro's wedding, apart from him, as he was the only person who could calm her down and sometimes reverse the effects. Unfortunately though, he was murdered by resident nutcase Sylar, someone that Maya trusted over her own brother. Well done, Maya. Nice one. Maya's is unfortunately, one of the worst powers to discover you have, because unless you have a twin brother or you're exceptionally calm, you're going murder almost everyone you're in the same vicinity as. Maya learned to control her poison emission later in the series, but of all the things to happen when you're stressed, unleashing deadly toxins on your friends probably isn't one you'd choose as a superpower.
