1. Learn How The Movies Are Made

The most famous attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood is still the Studio Tour. In this writers opinion, if you only did this attraction and nothing else, it will still be a day well spent.

The tram tour lasts around 45 minutes and takes you through Universal's working stages. Led by a guide, the tour gives you an insight into how movies and tv shows are created.

See the sound stages, the huge backlot film sets as well as get up close and personal with the movie magic.

As with similar rides at Disney, it really is the tour guides that really make the attraction so good. You can ride the tour several times and each guide will give you a new experience through the different tales they tell.

You get to visit the sets of some of the world's most well known movies including Jaws, Back to the Future and the incredible plane crash scene from War of the Worlds.

Watch out for Norman Bates loading his car outside the Bates Motel. Just don't stare at him, he doesn't like it when people stare.

If you get the chance, ride the tour at different sides of the tram. You will see different things from each side.

As well as the tour through the backlots, there are also two 3D experiences for you to enjoy: King Kong 360 3D and Fast & Furious - Supercharged.

Enter in the world of Kong, with a 3D ride like no other. King Kong 360 3D was created by director Peter Jackson and it places you in the middle of a sandwich battle between dinosaurs and the 8th Wonder himself.

Ride along with the stars in Fast & Furious - Supercharged as you become involved in a high speed chase. Who knew the trams could go so fast!

The Studio Tour is the masterpiece of the whole park and makes a trip to Universal Studios Hollywood a must do for any film fan.
