The brand new Wizarding World of Harry Potter opened its doors to muggles only last week and it's mighty impressive.

Like the other lands found in Japan and Orlando, Hollywood's own Harry Potter universe is incredibly detailed. Fans of the movies can spend hours exploring the area and still not scratch the surface.

Set in the quaint wizard town of Hogsmede, the new immersive land allows to relive all the places from the films and books.

Why not pick up a Butterbeer at the Hogs Head Pub or get kitted out in a Hogwarts uniform at Gladrags Wizardwear?

Just like Harry, you can grab a chocolate frog from Honeydukes and head over to the Hogwarts Express.

There are two rides for you to experience at the Wizarding World, the family friendly Flight of the Hippogriff roller-coaster and the 3D adventure Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey.

The Forbidden Journey, set within Hogwarts castle, is the showpiece of the land. Riders will need to put on their Quidditch goggles and head into the world of Harry, Hermione and Ron.

Unlike the ride found on the east coast, Hollywood's version of the Forbidden Journey is in 3D and every scene has been enhanced. Universal Creatives have really taken the time to make this version, bigger and better than anything that has come before.

On the ride you will face escaped Dragons, scary spiders and soul-sucking Dementors. It's a ride not for the faint hearted but if you are remotely a fan of the books and films you should try it at least once.

You really must not miss spending time in Hogsmede, it could be the most immersive land in theme park history.
