10 Things Only Apple Genius Bar Employees Will Understand

8. People Do Not Understand How To Book An Appointment

It's a pretty famous fact that Apple's Genius Bar operates on an appointment-only basis. If you don't know that, you've either been ignorant to it or you really don't listen. The tech giant has become increasingly better at dealing with people who don't have appointments over the last few years, most recently with the edition of the 'text back' appointment service for people who don't actually have a slot, but if you don't have one you're probably causing more trouble for yourself. An Apple employee is always going to help you but if the store haven't got the appointment space for a technician to resolve your problem, that means they don't actually have staff to see you. Most people seem to think that every person who works in the store and has one of the iconic T-shirts on then they're going to be able to solve your problems - well, you're probably wrong. The retail stores have about 4 or 5 different roles, these range from sales specialists through to inventory staff, from management to staff trainers so no, not everyone is trained or has the authority to fix that phone you drunkenly dropped down the toilet last night. Normally, the people who can't or don't know how to book an appointment are the same types of people who also haven't been introduced to Let Me Google That For You.
