10 Things That Are Seriously Messing With Your Zen

7. Staying In Touch With People You Don’t Like

Fact: Some people are called toxic for a reason. They are annoying users who do nothing for your well-being. There’s no reason why you would want such people in your life, so screw them, right?

This attitude works amazingly when you are rehearsing it in your mind. But let's face it, in real life you (and me, mate, and me) are a wuss and would never dream of going against everything your parents taught you.

Which is why, when that school-mate who bullied you in sixth grade reaches out to you on Facebook, you actually reply instead of marking the message as spam as you rightfully should. And it’s why, come Friday evening, you find yourself sharing a beer with said ex school-mate, wishing a meteorite would hurry up and hit the pub already so you can at least die a quick death and be done with it.

We all know which people we’d rather not have in our lives. But somehow, we never get round to doing anything about it.

Moral: Life is too short to waste time with people who don’t deserve your company. Cultivate a sense of ruthlessness when it comes to making plans. Ignore that e-mail and forget to return that call. You're going to hell anyway, may as well make it worth while.
