10 Things That Are Seriously Messing With Your Zen

4. Making Social Media Your Priority

Fact: We are the generation that’s constantly connected, wired up to the latest, newest, hottest trends even before they materialise on the streets. Thank you Twitter, thank you Tinder, thank you Tumblr.

You don’t need to fish for dates at some seedy pub, or call your mates to find out what’s cooking.

Hell, you don’t even need actual dates to hook up with someone. A sexting session and some R&R are more than enough to make the earth move.

In theory, it sounds like perfection. In practice, it means that you spend your life glued to a tiny monitor, unsure whether there’s a person or a unicorn on the other side of the screen.

Moral: Being tech-savvy is good, being a tech slaver isn’t. Stay connected only as long as you’re not missing out on other (better) things. Yes, this means kill the iPhone while you’re having drinks with your friends, you unsociable sod.
