10 Things That Have Been Completely Ruined In 2015

8. 90s Romance

We expect celebrities to break up. Of course we do. As surely as night does follow day, so does a messy, public divorce follow a huge, expensive wedding shot by Us Weekly. They are "rumoured to be dating" and then their "publicist confirms it" and then there are premiere pictures and a ring and a baby-bump tracker and then it all vanishes. We know this to be true. It's a fool's game to get invested in any couple too heavily (be it a celebrity's or your own, probably). But we tend to believe that after a certain point, couples are safe. They reach the one year mark, then two, then they drift out of the tabloids and you hope it's because they're just doing their own, dull domestic thing behind closed doors and away from cameras. So any couple which formed in the 90s must be OK now, right? They survived the whole Y2K fiasco, they can survive anything the world throws at them. But 2015 tore so many of our favourite throwback couples asunder. If you ever dip dyed your hair pink then you'll be devastated by Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale's divorce. Jon Hamm and his girlfriend of 18 years, Jennifer Westfeldt, also called it quits. Dramatic power couple Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffiths are no more. What hope is there for the rest of us if insanely wealthy people with lives nothing like ours can't make it work? Pour one out for these vintage couples' demises.
