7. Why Were Sports Days Compulsory?

Some schools made such a big deal out of their sports days and athletes were treated like celebrities. You on the other hand were looked upon like a peasant who was begging for the food and attention of the noblemen, and again, you just got in the way. You longed for the days of the egg and spoon races but as you got older, life came with its hurdles. Literally. They made you run over them. And you fell over them in front of everybody and it was awful.
