10 Things We Learned From Bret Weinstein On The Joe Rogan Experience
4. Weinstein's 'Dark Horse Duo' Plan
Your writer isn't going to confess to being an expert in American politics, but Bret Weinstein seems to have a rather interesting idea when it comes to the next person (or people) who should be elected as President of the United States.
Weinstein proposed what he has tentatively named the 'Dark Horse Duo' plan.
This would see two patriotic, courageous, highly capable individuals drafted (one centre left and the other centre right) and paired together with the following plan.
They will govern as a team. This means every important decision will be discussed and decided on as a unit. In the cases where they simply cannot reach an agreement in time, the person who inhabits the role of 'President' can have the final say.
Then, four years down the road, they switch and run for President and Vice President again.
Having two opposing sides working together to shape the country doesn't sound like the worst idea in the world as it would definitely bring a sense of unity to the White House.
Weinstein proposed Admiral William McRaven and Andrew Yang be drafted into the roles and an online petition to get the two to run together has already been set-up in the wake of this conversation.
