Tony Hawk found immediate success in his skateboarding career, as the burgeoning sport's competitive scene grew in popularity across America.

Hawk tells Joe how he first turned pro aged just 14, with his transition to the professional ranks requiring little more than just filling in a different box on an entry form for a competition after dominating the amateur circuit.

Young Jamie then pulls up a photo of a teenage Hawk sat outside a house that he had bought with some of his competition winnings, with Tony going on to explain how he lived in the house with three friends while still not being old enough to drink alcohol and having to attend high school.

Unsurprisingly in a house with four teenagers without adult supervision, Hawk's pad quickly became a party refuge for his friends. However, he still managed to graduate from high school, and even breifly feigned interest in going to college in order to placate his parents.
