10 Things You Didn't Know About Cameron Diaz

5. She Loves Extreme Sports

Cameron€™s passion for fast cars is well documented. Diaz set an impressively fast lap time around Top Gear€™s test track during her 2010 appearance on the show, ranking just behind future Knight And Day co-star Tom Cruise - although their laps were later the subject of controversially scurrilous claims of a fix.

In addition to being a petrolhead, Cameron is also a stickler for extreme sports, and in particular surfing. Unlike many celebrities who take up such unconventional hobbies in the vague hope of a bevy of paparazzi attention, Diaz takes her watersports seriously, often seen riding the waves with world champion Kelly Slater.

Cameron living on the edge has sometimes led to misadventure. Whilst surfing on holiday in Hawaii, the movie star broke her nose (for the fourth time) and was left unable to breathe properly. She had a nose job to repair the damage in 2006 - but was the sporting malady just an excuse for her vanity?
