10 Things You Didn't Know About Scooby Doo

1. The Series Reboot Is Coming Soon (Well, In 3 Years)

In 2013, Warner Bros announced plans to bring Mystery Incorporated back to the big screen for the first time since Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed (2004). Two years later, the company said it had turned its back on developing a live-action film and would instead make a full-length animated feature.

Given the notices that Raja Gosnell’s 2002 movie received (“Would I see it again? Not even for a Scooby Snack,” quipped the Philadelphia Inquirer), that’s probably a good idea. Even better, the director is Tony Cervone, who has directed and/or produced several previous DVD movies, including Scooby Doo And Kiss: Rock And Roll Mystery (2015).

Cervone also lends his vocal talents to that film as well as the Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated TV series, so the movie looks to be in good hands. If you’re interested, circle September 21 2018 in your diary.
