8. Ukraine Is Home To A Ghost Town After The Chernobyl Disaster

In Ukraine the town of Pripyat was evacuated a few days after the 26 April 1986 Chernobyl Disaster. Once home to a population of over 49,000 citizens, 15 primary schools, 5 secondary schools, a large hospital, shopping malls, cages and restaurants there is little left behind than a eerie ghost town of what this city had been before and this lost world still continues to deteriorate.
