10 Tragic Deaths That Happened At Disney Theme Parks
6. A Woman Died From A Brain Hemorrhage After Riding Indiana Jones Adventure (Anaheim Disneyland)
Indiana Jones Adventure is one of the star attractions at Anaheim Disneyland, and yet this disturbing tale of a vacation gone wrong might make you think twice about riding it. That's to say, a 23-year-old Spanish woman named Cristina Moreno boarded the ride back in June 2000, and later complained of an immense headache and the feeling that her "head was rolling around." After she passed out later in her hotel room, she was taken to hospital where it was soon discovered that Moreno's brain was haemorrhaging. After being taken back to Spain via air ambulance in a state of unconsciousness, Moreno never woke up. She later died in the September of that year. Moreno's family sued Disney for "wrongful death," believing that the Indiana Jones-themed ride was responsible for her death. As a result, Disney later settled out of court, despite claims from the company that they deemed Indiana Jones Adventure to be "a safe ride and that it did not cause the injuries to the plaintiffs in this case."
