At any university with a school of psychology or medicine, experiments and trials are a regular part of both undergraduate training as well as national research. Often, the pay for students electing to participate can be quite decent, though the real advantages are convenience and ease.

For starters, tests typically take place in department buildings right on campus. Secondly, probably the most challenging thing a participant would have to do is take a written test or fill out a questionnaire. Otherwise, it may just be a matter of taking a pill or sleeping while connected to a monitoring device.

A lucky participant could make relatively passive income upon landing such a gig, as they study, read, complete assignments, and otherwise pay no mind to what the researchers are doing.

Finally, a student can let the work come to him by simply signing up for a mailing list and taking a moment to see what’s available, or in some cases he can be contacted for specific trials based on his information already gathered.
