The contestants consist of Barbie enthusiasts and doll fans. Each contestant get to dress up their Barbies in various fashionable outfits, individualized swimsuits, and the little accents every girl needs, such as the perfect shoes and other accessories. Naturally, creative hairstyles for each outfit and makeup are a given. The Barbie handlers work hard to individualize their client and make her shine bright, while still keeping the sheen of plastic individuality The lucky contestant who wins Miss Barbie Venezuela gets t0 move on to the next big step: Miss Barbie Universe.
