In 1985, when Back To The Future was made and also set, Marty McFly travels back in time 30 years to 1955 and gets up to a load of incestuous mischief. Take the present date into question and you will notice that Back To The Future is 29 years old. This means that next year the same amount of time will have passed between Back To The Future being made/set and the present day, as to the time between when it was set and what point in time McFly travelled to. Do the eighties feel as long ago to us now as the fifties did to the people of the eighties? My head now hurts.
4. Betty White Is Older Than Sliced Bread
The expression "the best thing since sliced bread" is a term often thrown about meaninglessly to anything even remotely worth praise, however it can probably be seen as extremely offensive to the career of America's favourite dirty-minded pensioner. You see, Betty White was born in 1922, which means she's now a respectable and very much active 92 year old. The mind-blowing fact here is that sliced bread has only been around since 1928, making it a full six years younger than White. Bonus fact: Adam West is precisely as old as sliced bread.
