As the years have passed feuds and off-the-cuff insults have come home to roost during various acceptance speeches but few stand the test of time, so which one to pick? The 2010 awards saw Oasis' '(What's the Story) Morning glory' named as the best album of the last 30 years. As the band had split and were not on good terms at this point Liam was the only member of the group to come on stage and accept the award. He thanked the entire band apart from his brother, Noel, then threw the microphone into the crowd swiftly followed by the award itself before stalking off the stage. Of all the ways to collect an award, accepting it and giving it away before leaving the stage is pretty rare. 12. David Tennant Quits

When David Tennant won the 2008 NTA for Drama Performance he accepted his award via satellite during the interval of the production of Hamlet he was starring in. For a long time it seemed like a very routine 'sorry I can't be there' acceptance speech until he announced that the next year of Doctor Who would be his last in the role to shocked gasps from the audience. What better way to quit the role that made him a household name than announcing it live on national television and then to finish the live link by brandishing a flick knife and "I have to kill Patrick Stewart."
