So you've navigated the QUB search system (in other words, you've typed basic keywords into a search bar in the hope you'll find something vaguely related to your current essay topic) and climbed the stairs to the relevant floor.

You make your way through the Borges-esque labyrinth of infinitely repeating shelves until you finally make it to the correct one. After a brief prayer that the book you want is actually there, you find it €“ but all is not well. The book is thicker than you had hoped, much thicker €“ there must be, like, three hundred pages in there! There's no way you're reading this much, it can't be done, the essay is due in two days and €“ what's this? Someone has highlighted it! Someone has made notes in the margin! And they're all relevant to your essay! Surely the sweetest of all victories.
