If you asked anyone what their favourite time of the day is, the most popular answers would either be meal time or home time. Yours is obviously home time, not so you can escape work, but so you can be reunited with your pet. They're always excited to see you and they're probably all you've been thinking about during the day. If you miss them that much you can even set up a webcam from your house and just watch them all day long. This is not weird in any way, at all.
