12 Times Adolf Hitler Has Been Totally Owned In Fiction

1. Bionic Commando

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P6X9Yj5ct88 Capcom's Bionic Commando is something of an under-appreciated gem from the days of the Nintendo Entertainment System. In addition to its unique and cleverly-implemented gameplay mechanic of swinging around from a grappling hook-like bionic arm, those who did take the time to appreciate it were treated to something considerably more "mature" than most of the fare seen in the heavily-censored library of classic 8-bit titles. For starters, you learn at the end (in the western version, anyway; in Japan, they give it away right in the title) that the "Master D" that the renamed "Badd" (i.e. Nazi) army is trying to resurrect is none other than a cursing Adolf Hitler himself. After stopping the superweapon he was revived to complete, it's up to you as Nathan "Rad" Spencer to halt the Fuehrer's escape. Armed with a special rocket launcher that can penetrate the escape copter's cockpit, you swing, leap, and... well, see the video above for yourself. Just be warned: For the NES, it's surprisingly gruesome. Of course, that's also what helped make it one of the most memorable moments not only within the game, but the console's entire library as well. Naturally, when it came time to remake the game some years back on Xbox Live Arcade, the PlayStation Network, and Steam for Windows (where you can get it for dirt cheap- worth every penny!), they had to update the scene as well. You can see it for yourself below, but in case you are deciding to get the game now? There are some spoilers, obviously. Oh, and it's no less gory. In fact, it's even more so, in case that kind of thing bothers you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4K4kknqNhko For those children who took the time to appreciate a true classic of the NES library, blowing up Hitler's head was a stepping stone in growing up. So there you have it: A dozen times Hitler has been "owned" in fiction. From comics to movies to video games, from the physical to the psychological, Adolf has been dominated time and again. But these are only 12 examples; there are undoubtedly many more. Maybe you know of some which are absent from our list, but nonetheless warrant some attention? Or maybe you just have a favorite from those 12 shown here? Either way, tell us in the comments below!
