13 Things You Should Never Say To A Stephen King Fan
10. 'Is John Coffey Actually Jesus?'
It depends if you believe in that sort of thing or not. He does perform some crazy miracles healing cancer was miraculous to say the least. If you want to look at The Green Mile compared to the story of Jesus, it might be safe to say there are similar plot points. For example: Coffey is killed for a crime he was innocent of, and the two men on death row with him could correspond to the good thief and the bad thief. But although Coffey is able to heal the sick, he doesn't preach a spiritual message. He heals people because he can, not to show the power of faith or anything like that. Hes basically just a massive legend in literature.
I love Stephen King and music festivals; I eat my toast upside down; I daydream about getting married probably a bit too much; and I wish every day for a pet sausage dog puppy (who never materialises – sob).
