14 Most Haunted Hotels In The World

1. The Crescent Hotel And Spa

Location: Eureka Springs, USA Built in 1886, the Crescent Hotel And Spa was a luxury retreat for the rich and famous. The hotel cost $294,000 to build, an obscene amount of money for the time and it quickly fell into disrepair. In 1908, it reopened as the Crescent College Conservatory For Young Women. It shut down in 1924 and opened six years later as a junior college which closed four years later. In 1937, a millionaire Norman G Baker turned the place into a hospital ad health resort. He would treat patients despite having no knowledge of medicine or any medical training. He claimed that he had a cure for cancer and would treat cancer patients at the resort. People died under his 'care.' In 1940, he was sentenced to prison for fraud as he was receiving a lot of money from the families of his patients who were being treated by him. What they didn't know is that he was also experimenting on bodies, both dead and alive. The hotel is back up and running with guests opting in for midnight tours of the morgue... It is said to be one of the most haunted hotels in America with the ghosts of Baker wandering around the corridors. So are the ghosts of his patients, a stonemason who died during the construction and a student who fell (or was pushed) from the roof are all said to also haunt the hotel. One of the most recognised ghosts is that of an old man wearing Victorian clothing and a top hat.
