6. Going To The Hub Signified Sophistication
The Hub is an area in MK filled with restaurants and swanky bars and cafes. You only started going there when your days of moshing at The Pitz were over and youd gained a little self-respect in your old age. No more drinking cider at the Craufurd Arms on a Friday night watching rock bands for you; your nights out were now being held at All Bar One. You exchanged your Vans for a pair of stilettos and invested in some tiny dresses, and got yourself a good hair cut with some highlights. Surrounded by men in suits and other sophisticated looking women, you could hold a glass of wine (not £3 wine, actual pricey wine) and convince yourself your greebo days were over.
